Ralph Peters seems to be very eager to see Trump in office in order to challenge Iran and not let them continue to have the “free ride” they’ve enjoyed with Obama.
While there’s a lot of truth to what Peters says, it’s odd to hear it come from him as he said that Trump was so dangerous for our foreign policy that he’d be voting for Hillary. Now he seems all about the Donald.
He also said that Trump’s statement on backing off of supporting NATO was the “most dangerous and idiotic statement on foreign policy” in his lifetime. Now these things aren’t completely mutually exclusive to each other, but it’s still odd to see Peters seem to take a 180 degree turn on how dangerous Trump is after the election.
